SportBox is build as a modular platform, that is adjustable to fit into the diverse infrastructure for sport, play and recreation. In the near future, collaboration with companies that are also providing material in these areas will emerge with their solutions powered by our system.

What is your pricing model?

One-time purchase for the box, equipment and options. Subscription for the app based usage in different, mostly public settings.

Do you work with annual maintenance and/or operational costs?

Optional yes. We leave it flexible to our customers how to fill this in. We provide support to enable customers to do this themselves through videos, but offer it to those who want full-service.

Who is responsible for repairs, replacements and long-term servicing?

First and foremost the owner of the box, unless it concerns design or production flaws. In case of doubt, we go the extra mile.

How do users access the equipment?

Users access the equipment per app. Access per card is also possible, but has significant limitations to operate and there for is currently not implemented in any of the boxes.

Is your system free-to-use or paid?

Other

It is by default free-to-use. Customers have the option to charge money, this is discouraged from our side.

Can it be accessed by people without smartphones?

No

What types of sports equipment are available?

The type of sports equipment available is flexible to choose. Recreational objects that stimulate movement can also be put in.

Sportbox concept

“The system reduces the need for each household to have sports equipment themselves ...”

How does your system contribute to sustainability goals?

The system reduces the need for each household to have sports equipment themselves to be active outside. Additionally, it enables the reduction of cheaper one-time-usage material and less higher quality material. The SportBoxes are constructed modular and for longevity so that the boxes do not need to be replaced before they could contribute to the sustainability goals.

What is the expected lifespan of the equipment, and how is it replaced?

This very much depends on the equipment itself. Logically, a kettlebell is more robust and hast a longer lifespan then a resistance band. Smaller high-frequency material has a lifespan of 1-3 years. More robust material has a lifespan easily exceeding 3 years, lasting up to 10 years of more.

How does your system prevent theft and vandalism?

For closed boxes, there are cameras installed in the box that makes pictures after usage (which can be combined with the user data). For boxes with a transparant door, the photo is required to finish the training with the users phone. In this case, the app knows if the door is closed or not.

What data-tracking features are available for municipalities?

Usage report (Both user profile data, as usage data) and box status information. Next to that, municipalities are encouraged to self-service through our platform.
