Equip Sport operates on a hub-based leasing model, offering cities a fully managed service rather than a 1-time purchase. Municipalities lease a network of smart sports stations for a fixed annual fee, which covers everything from mapping, installation, & maintenance to operations & data reporting. This model ensures that cities don't need to invest in costly infrastructure or worry about ongoing management. Contracts are structured as multi-year agreements, allowing for scalability & long-term planning, with potential discounts based on commitment length. Additionally, Equip Sport secures financial sponsorships to help reduce costs for municipalities, making the service more accessible. Revenue from paid equipment rentals and premium subscriptions is managed by Equip Sport, ensuring financial sustainability while offering free access to basic equipment & service. We make sure to take each project case by case, as we want to understand the community's activity needs & fill them with our solution. Therefore, each relationship with us involves open communication to customize the best possible offer for everyone.
Do you work with annual maintenance and/or operational costs?
Yes, annual maintenance & operational costs are fully integrated into the leasing fee, ensuring that cities benefit from a completely hassle-free solution. Equip Sport provides proactive, scheduled maintenance, including routine servicing every few weeks, cleaning, equipment checks, & software updates. Additionally, the real-time monitoring dashboard allows Equip Sport to identify & resolve technical or mechanical issues quickly, ensuring that stations remain fully functional & optimized for user engagement. This data-driven approach enables continuous improvements, ensuring that cities receive a high-performing, low-maintenance sports infrastructure without unexpected costs.
Who is responsible for repairs, replacements and long-term servicing?
Equip Sport is fully responsible for all repairs, replacements, & ongoing servicing throughout the contract duration. If equipment is damaged or stolen, Equip Sport covers the cost of replacement parts as long as vandalism is absent. We ensure that any vandalized stations are repaired promptly. In cases where a station experiences consistent issues, such as repeated theft or low engagement, Equip Sport may relocate it to a more strategic location, optimizing its impact. This flexible approach ensures that stations remain operational, well-maintained & aligned with user needs. By handling all servicing, branding updates, & infrastructure management, Equip Sport allows cities to benefit from a scalable, stress-free sports accessibility solution, with every decision taken obviously being thought over with the local authority.
How do users access the equipment?
Users access the equipment in the simplest way possible; through our dedicated app. After a quick 1-time registration, unlocking sports gear's just 1 tap away. With a single button press in the software, the assigned locker instantly opens, giving users immediate access to the equipment inside. To make things even easier, each station features 2 QR codes: 1 to download the app instantly & another to reach our dedicated customer support if needed. No need for membership cards, complicated, or unprotected processes; just seamless, app-based access designed for convenience. Whether it’s their first time or their hundredth, users can start playing in seconds, making sports more accessible than ever.

What is the expected lifespan of the equipment, and how is it replaced?
Our stations are built to last indefinitely, provided no vandalism. Made from impact-resistant, weatherproof materials, they're designed to withstand heavy use & harsh conditions. Because we focus on long-term relationships with partners, durability's essential. We're committed to keeping our stations in place for lasting impact, which is why we provide continuous maintenance, real-time monitoring and proactive servicing. Key components, such as batteries with a 2-year lifespan, are regularly replaced & our modular design allows for quick spare parts swaps, ensuring sustainability & uninterrupted sports access. If a station's damaged, we guarantee swift repairs or full replacement to keep it operational.
How does your system prevent theft and vandalism?
Equip Sport employs a multi-layered security approach to prevent theft & vandalism. Smart lockers can only be accessed via the mobile app, ensuring that only registered users, who must provide an email, phone number & photo for identification, can unlock equipment. If a user commits theft, they are automatically contacted for recovery, & if they fail to respond, they are permanently banned from the system, with the option to pay a fine to be reinserted. Additionally, Equip Sport’s anti-theft system includes photo verification & profile validation, adding accountability. To deter vandalism, stations feature surveillance stickers that remind users they are being monitored, discouraging malicious acts. Even in cases where damage occurs, Equip Sport ensures immediate repairs or replacements, keeping all stations fully operational. The polycarbonate-reinforced doors provide physical protection against tampering. With these combined efforts, Equip Sport maintains a theft & vandalism rate of less than 1%, proving the effectiveness of its security infrastructure.
